Through a series of memories and vignettes, ‘Jess + Moss’ recounts the events of the last summer two cousins, Jess (18) and Moss (12), share together. Shot entirely on location with a variety of expired and often degraded film stocks, the film captures the evocative and haunting character of the dark fire tobacco fields of rural Western Kentucky. “Jess + Moss” premiered to great reviews at the 2011 SUNDANCE Film Festival, followed by screenings at the BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL and HONG KONG FILM FESTIVAL.
